  • October 2010 www.lendloaninvest.co.uk Raising funds to prepare for launch!
This is our website for social lending and borrowing. We have been developing the software for over a year and we will soon be ready to compete with Zopa, the only live peer-to-peer, social lending and borrowing site in UK today. We have recently been granted our Consumer Credit Licence and the finishing touches are being put on the software and web site. Watch this space!
  • July 2010 www.skillsforprojects.com GOES LIVE!
This is our own outsourcing and freelancing web site, matching buyers of outsourced services with freelancers and specialist outsourcing providers. We believe that these sites should be very specifically focussed on an industry sector. Our first deployment, is the IT, Web & Programming industry sector. Others are scheduled to follow. We will use this site to place our own outsourced programming work.
2009
  • Madiston started working on a variety of projects using Open Source CMS technology:-
    • A website for matching sellers of businesses with buyers. Again, our belief is that this site should be very specifically focussed on an industry sector. The first deployment will be in the IT, Web & Programming industry sector. Others will follow.
    • An intranet/extranet product for the communications and management of corporate transactions (mergers, acquisitions and flotations)
    • a medical intranet/extranet web site for orthopaedic surgeons.
    • A website for people to barter unwanted items and swap them (with cash balancing adjustments) for wanted ones.
  • Development begins for an outsourcing and freelancing web site, matching buyers of outsourced services with freelancers and specialist outsourcing providers. Our belief is that these sites should be very specifically focussed on an industry sector. The first deployment will therefore be in the IT, Web & Programming industry sector. Others will follow.
  • Development begins on a website for social lending and borrowing, based on the priciples of crowdfunding, as mentioned below.
2008
  • Various software development projects outsourced overseas June - December 2008
India, Vietnam and Lithuania being the main centres that we have used, so far.
  • Madiston begins outsourcing CMS extension software development June 2008
Outsourcing could well be the way forward, in terms of the time & cost of software projects.
  • Decision made to acquire skills and to develop technology using Open Source CMS technology -May 2008.
As a learning exercise we will develop the innovative crowdfunding website mentioned below to raise funds for music bands. It is a very interesting project as it combines many of the aspects of Madiston's past experience in markets, securities trading and investment systems with web based social networking and eCommerce. There is also a free market reverse auction area where bands can post required projects (e.g. a studio in which a band may record an album) and music industry suppliers will bid for that business. This will be a big development but many of its components will be reuseable and saleable.
  • Started using Open Source Content Management Systems (CMS) Technology April 2008
Is this the way forward? Can we deploy fully functional web applications more quickly and cheaply? We make a decision to use this technology for relevant future projects.
2007
  • Started work on planning a crowdfunding website business to raise funds for music bands October 2007
  • STP Magazine Article February 2007
Could workflow help the Financial Industry tackle MiFID and other regulations?
